Directed by David Dhawan, ‘Hero No. 1’ was a huge hit in the late 90s. The film, loosely inspired by Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s ‘Bawarchi’, tells the story of a wealthy heir who takes up household chores for love.
Govinda, disguised as the lovable Raju, wins hearts by cooking, cleaning, singing, and dancing his way into his girlfriend’s family. The film was later remade in Telugu as ‘Goppinti Alludu’.
As for Shakti Kapoor, his contribution to Hindi cinema hardly needs an introduction. Known for his memorable mix of comedy and villainy, he has appeared in over 700 films. In the 80s and 90s, his hilarious team-ups with Asrani and Kader Khan became a staple of Bollywood entertainment.
In the meantime, Shraddha Kapoor has already confirmed her collaboration with filmmaker Laxman Utekar on a period drama, produced by Dinesh Vijan, which is ready to begin shooting this November. If all goes as planned, the film will release in 2026.

In addition, Shraddha has signed a multi-film deal with producer Ektaa Kapoor. Buzz suggests that her first project under this partnership will reunite her with ‘Aashiqui 2’ co-star Aditya Roy Kapur.
Her plate is full with other interesting projects as well. She is going to team up with ‘Tumbbad’ director Rahi Anil Barve for an untitled drama, and reports hint at her possible entry into the high-octane ‘Dhoom’ franchise.
There’s also speculation that she will share screen space once more with Ranbir Kapoor, following the success of their recent film ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’.
